These Reiki treatments are designed for relaxation and rebalancing and are suitable for anyone who wants one including pregnant women and people with conditions. But there may be some cases where it isn’t suitable:
Brighton & Hove Therapies is an adults-only clinic.
If you have a pace-maker it may not be a suitable treatment for you.
If you are unable to have in-person treatment, or if you wouldn’t feel comfortable in a treatment room (e.g. due to a mental health issue), then a distance session would be better for you.
If you have any mental or physical conditions, it's always best to check with your medical provider.

You should let your medical practitioner know about this treatment and discuss any concerns with them.
Reiki is completely safe and natural and it can’t interact with medicines. Many people safely have treatment alongside conventional medical care.

You don’t need to do or believe in anything to receive Reiki! I think it’s better to keep an open mind and be receptive to what comes.
I’m also passionate that we should all take an active role in our own wellness. To be conscious of our own responsibility for our body, mind, and soul. It’s great if clients have a willingness to change our inertia.

I can’t explain how Reiki works or helps but energy flows through my hands and runs where it needs to go. Sometimes it isn’t even necessary to touch a person, but sometimes some kind of manipulation of touch can feel necessary if this is okay with the client.
Sessions are one-to-one treatments in a treatment room in either the Brighton or Hove clinic.
At the start of the session, I’ll explain more and check you have anything you’d like to focus on.
During the session, you'll lie down fully-clothed with soothing music playing and your eyes closed.
Everyone feels different reactions inside. Some clients feel energy while others can see it too. You may feel a tingling, cold or heat. Overall you should experience deep relaxation, as we work to reduce imbalances and improve your inner energy flow.
After the session we can talk about what came up during the session, especially around the major chakra areas.
This is either a hands-on or hands-off. You can decide if gentle laying of hands is okay at times or if you'd prefer no contact.

After a session it is best to drink a lot of water for 24 hours.
You may feel energy detox inside you for around a day.
Afterwards, people usually feel a good boost and very relaxed. Many people say it helps them sleep better too.

For longer lasting results, you will benefit more from a series of sessions. We can discuss this but you can also have as many as you feel is right.

The benefits of Reiki haven’t been tested or proved in large-scale clinical trials and existing research is limited.
Reiki is being used in medical settings increasingly.
The main findings in small scale case settings seem to have found Reiki for for relieving pain, decreasing anxiety/depression, and improving qualify of life in several conditions.
It is generally concluded that Reiki is safe and at worst would do nothing but not cause harm. There is growing support that Reiki is more effective than placebo effect.
